Oi! Agora que eu sei uma ou duas coisas sobre rede social ( quem diria que a Internet teria mais a oferecer que fotos engraçadas de animais?!?) — Eu queria dizer o que eu tenho feito ultimamente, para o caso de você estar se perguntando…
Primeiro, e mais importante, deixa eu começar isso expressando a minha mais sincera gratidão, para cada um de vocês, pelo seu amor e apoio continuo. Significa o mundo para mim, que você tenha ficado do meu lado, de cabeça-aberta, enquanto eu crescia durante essa jornada, para descobrir quem eu sou, criativamente falando. Eu quero que você saiba, que eu vejo e absorvo todos os seus comentários e opiniões; é o seu retorno e dedicação que me motiva e inspira em cada atividade que eu faça. Então por isso, e por tudo mais que vocês façam, eu te agradeço.
Para quem não sabe, eu recentemente comecei uma linha de jóias chamada ”Mattlin Era”. Essa linha é algo que eu tenho bastante carinho. Minha avó – que inspirou o nome da linha- criava azulejos de cerâmica, e foi uma pioneira nessa área, em um tempo que as mulheres não exploravam esse campo. As peças dela, tão lindas e únicas, foram a inspiração para minha primeira linha de jóias. Eu projetei e criei todas as peças, e eu estou muito orgulhosa com o resultado. Eu espero que vocês gostem das peças assim como eu gostei de criá-las. E só para vocês saberem… ao ‘abraçarem’ essa extensão artística da história da minha vida e da minha família, vocês estão me ajudando a realizar um sonho que eu tenho desde quando era uma garotinha e fazia pulseiras para meus colegas de classe e os vendia na hora do almoço ( Eu iria longe,gente!). É uma sensação maravilhosa chegar tão longe e eu nunca conseguiria isso sem o apoio de vocês.

Como muitos de vocês sabem, Paul e eu, escrevemos e gravamos um EP no final do ano passado, chamado “THE BEST PART”. Nós somos extremamente gratos a aqueles de vocês que aceitaram nossa colaboração de braços abertos, acolhendo, escutando, amando e o nosso álbum. Fazer música juntos, é algo que nós dois nos sentimos bastante sortudos de poder fazer, e experimentar a resposta positiva dos fãs, não poderia ser melhor presente.

Por último, eu estou gravando um filme, mas Paul e eu, estamos planejando entrar em um estúdio logo, para gravarmos outro álbum. Na verdade, nós estamos pensando em lançar alguma campanha no Kickstarter, na esperança de conseguir que vocês que sempre nos apoiam, se envolvam, e fiquem por dentro de todo o processo. Nós realmente acreditamos que nossa interação com vocês é uma parte inestimável da nossa jornada criativa — dito isso, nós mal podemos esperar para compartilhar esse próximo capitulo com vocês!

Hi! So now that I’ve learned a thing or two about social media (who knew the Internet had more to offer than funny animal photos?!?) — I just wanted to take a moment to reach out to you personally in case you were wondering what I’ve been up to lately…
First, and most importantly, let me preface this by expressing my sincerest gratitude to each of you for your continued love and support. It means the absolute world to me that you’ve stuck with me and stayed open-minded alongside me as I’ve grown and journeyed to discover who I am creatively. I want you to know that I do notice and absorb all of your comments and insights; it’s your feedback and dedication that fuels me to stay motivated and inspired in each of my pursuits. So for that, and so much more, I thank you.
For those of you that don’t know, I recently started a jewelry line called MATTLIN ERA that is extremely close to my heart. My grandmother – for whom the line is named – was a ceramic tile muralist and a true pioneer in the arts at a time when women working in this field was not at all commonplace. Her uniquely beautiful craft and expressive creations were the inspiration for my first line. I took a very hands-on approach, designing all of the pieces myself, and I couldn’t be more proud of how it’s turned out. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it. And just so you know…by embracing this artistic extension of me and my family’s history, you’re helping me realize a dream I’ve had ever since I was a little girl making bracelets for my classmates and peddling them in the lunchroom (I was going places, people!). It’s a pretty amazing feeling to come this far and I would never have the ability to see this through without your support.

As most of you know, Paul and I wrote and recorded an EP last year called THE BEST PART. We are so incredibly grateful to those of you who have welcomed our collaboration with open arms by listening, loving and embracing the album. Making music together is something we both feel especially fortunate to get to do, and experiencing the fans positive response to it couldn’t be a more rewarding gift.

Lastly, I’m currently at work on a film, but Paul and I are planning to hit the studio again very soon to record another album. We’re actually gearing up to launch a Kickstarter campaign in the hopes that we can get our supporters excited and involved, as well as keep you up-to-speed throughout the process. We truly believe that our interaction with you all is an invaluable part of our creative journey — that said, we can’t wait to share this next chapter with you!
